Bob Dylan has a new album out—his 33rd according to iTunes. I have to say, I love me some Bob Dylan. It is true, I have gotten in bar brawls over this man. After hearing a few of the new songs on the album, though, I have to say he’s sounding a tad Tom Waits-ish these days. But, I’m still diggin’ it… and the sepia toned photography. You even get a nice “digital booklet” when you purchase on iTunes. Glad that album artwork isn’t dying out…

While I was digging around on Heifer’s website, I found this great interactive window which explains more about what they do. It’s engaging and well designed… check it out here

One of my favorite charities, Heifer International, is joining up with Bloggers Unite to spread awareness of the need to end hunger on our planet. Did you know that:

• More than 500 million people are living in “absolute poverty” and more than 15 million children die of hunger every year.
• The World Health Organization estimates that one-third of the population is underfed and another third is starving.
• In the United States, 46 percent of African-American children and 49 percent of Latino children are considered chronically hungry.

Organizations like Heifer International are the solution. Every day in April, Heifer International is lifting people out of poverty by providing communities with livestock and agricultural training to improve lives and inspire hope. What can you do?

Here’s how you can join our effort:

1. Unite with hundreds on April 29 by posting, blogging or tweeting about the need to end world hunger. Selected posts will be featured by Heifer, BlogCatalog; Copywrite, Ink.; and on the future Bloggers Unite blog.
2. Give $10 or more to the Bloggers Unite Team Heifer page to help struggling families around the world lift themselves out of hunger and poverty.
3. Join the Heifer community. Sign up now and get the latest news and information from Heifer International. You’ll receive monthly newsletters as well as opportunities to support Heifer’s mission.

I got a new camera yesterday and couldn’t be happier! There’s nothing quite like a new toy… Today was a beautiful day so I took it along with me on a little walk around my neighborhood. It’s amazing how much natural beauty surrounds us just outside our own back door. Here are a few of my discoveries that brightened my day…

I just saw “Earth” this weekend… Not only is the story of the three animals touching, the cinematography was truly breathtaking. I left in awe of mother nature and the amazing filmmakers who took the viewer on a fantastic journey. Check out the website for some great shots.
